Market research, business strategy, digital implementation

Know your market before you build a website.

Anyone can put a website online today. Very few build one grounded in real market research, your competitors, and what your customers actually expect. That is what I bring to small businesses, startups, and personal brands who want more than a template, at a fair price.

What I do

Two phases, one engagement.

Anyone can build a website. What is harder to find is one grounded in real market research and a clear strategy first. Every engagement runs through two phases, market and strategy analysis, then design and build.

01

Phase 1: Market and Strategy Analysis

Audience profiling, competitive positioning analysis, and a SWOT assessment of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, grounded in real data instead of assumptions. Deliverable: a written Market Positioning Report that is yours regardless of what happens next.

02

Phase 2: Website Design and Build

A professional website designed around the strategy from Phase 1, not the other way around. Built to convert visitors, not just to look good.

How it works

What happens, and when.

Every engagement moves through two phases and four stages, so you always know what is happening and what comes next.

01

Kickoff

We start with a conversation. I learn your goals, your audience, and what a win looks like, so scope and timeline are clear before anything begins.

02

Phase 1: Research and Analysis

I run the market and competitor research, competitive positioning analysis, and a SWOT assessment on my own time, then prepare the written Market Positioning Report, not just a slide deck or a guess.

03

Phase 1: Strategy Report Review

We meet to walk through the Market Positioning Report together and agree on priorities. This phase can stand on its own, even if you do not move into a build.

04

Phase 2: Design and Build

The site goes into production against the agreed strategy, moves through a set number of revisions, and launches on schedule.

Packages and pricing

Fair pricing, built to fit.

Every package bundles research, strategy, and a website into one flat fee. No surprise invoices.

On pricing: I do not charge the inflated rates that are common in this industry. My goal is to build long term relationships with clients, not to maximize a single invoice. If a package does not fit your budget right now, tell me. We can usually find something that works for both of us.

Prefer flexible options instead of a full package? Phase 1 is available on its own, and both plans below are month to month.

About
Nicolas De Giacomo, founder of Jacobi Insights LLC Founder

Economics first. Design second.

I'm Nicolas De Giacomo. Summa Cum Laude Economics graduate of Rollins College, with a B.A. in Economics and minors in Data Analytics and Business Management. I also serve as captain of the Rollins Men's Tennis Team.

Before I write a line of code, I ask the questions an economist asks. Who is the audience, what does the competitive landscape look like, what does the data say about pricing and positioning. Every website I build comes out of that analysis, not the other way around.

I've applied this approach across live projects for businesses, startups, and personal brands in the U.S. and Austria, bringing the same discipline and preparation I learned competing at the NCAA Division II level to every engagement.

Questions

Good questions, answered.

Do you just build websites?
No. Every project starts with market and competitor research, and a strategy built on that research. The website is the last step of the engagement, not the whole job.
How long does a project take?
Most engagements run 2 to 6 weeks depending on package, from the discovery call to launch. Timelines are confirmed once scope is set.
What if I already have a website?
The research and strategy phases can run on their own. You would get a written report and recommendations, with implementation as an optional next step.
Do you work with clients outside the U.S.?
Yes. I work with clients across the U.S. and Europe and am fluent in both English and German.
What if my budget is tight right now?
Tell me. I would rather adjust scope or work out a payment plan than turn away a good project. This works best as a long term relationship, not a one time sale.
What tools do you use for the research?
R, Python, and Excel for data analysis, combined with primary and secondary market research methods suited to the project.
Before you book

Project policies, plainly stated.

These terms apply to every package, retainer, and standalone engagement. Tap a line for the details.

01

Payment Terms

+
Full packages (Foundation, Growth, and Launch) are billed 50% upfront to begin the engagement and 50% at completion, due before final files and access are delivered. Phase 1 only engagements and monthly retainers are billed in full at the start of the engagement. A start date is confirmed once payment has been received.
02

Scheduling and Rescheduling

+
Kickoff calls and strategy review sessions are booked at a time that works for both of us. Please provide at least 24 hours of notice to reschedule. Calls canceled or missed with less notice may need to be rebooked for the next available time.
03

Refunds and Cancellations

+
If you cancel before any research or design work has begun, your deposit is refunded in full. Once work is underway, the deposit becomes non refundable, since it reserves my time and turns away other projects for that slot. If a project is canceled mid engagement, you are invoiced only for the work completed, and any remaining prepaid balance is returned within 14 days.
